Instances With Ephemeral Public IP

This bot identifies any compute instances (eg: AWS EC2) running with an attached IP address that will not persist through stop/start actions. Running a system in this manner can result in unexpected downtime for products/services. Instances with a reserved/elastic IP are compliant and action will not be taken.

Recommended Action

Request and associate a static public IP to the noncompliant instances. Doing this will ensure that the system remains accessible through lifecycle actions and hardware maintenance.
